Birthday Night Cap

My eyes are already droopy and almost about to close by itself but I couldn't help writing just a pre-birthday post before I shut them. However, I shall write more in the next days to come...but just wanted to say that this year has been one of my memorable birthdays...simple but complete and full of love from people I value the most. (sighs and smiles)

SIMPLE

I think its summer here in Manila this September.Super Hot! I took a short walk to the store from the school just about 50 steps but I already felt the ultra violet rays of the sun already in my dermis. I think this is really something else...Too much GLOBAL HEATING not WARMING na talaga. I won't be surprised if the next day I wake up and see snow outside my window. (hahahaha) Anyway, my day is just like any other day...RUSHED! multi tasking galore. But you know the start of the month has been really full of blessings. Sarap talaga kapag birthday month!Yup, My birthday is coming up and I am excited. Usually, my birthday month is always a happy month for my family. In fact, its already starting.
last night I opened my mail and read an interesting forwarded email and I'd like to share it with anybody who might stumble. Here it goes, maybe you can always keep these in mind and find yourself a million times unburdened by the everyday hustle and bustle of things.

  • Take a 30 minute walk everyday and smile.
  • Sit in silence for about 10 minute each day.when you wake up in the morning say this statement" My purpose today is..."
  • Live with the 3 E's: Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy"and the 3 F's: Faith, Family and Friends"
  • Spend more time with the people over 70 and age 6.
  • Dream more while you are awake.
  • Try to make at least 3 people smile each
  • day.
  • Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn, pass all your tests.
  • Smile and Laugh more it will keep the energy vampires away.
  • Life isn't fair but its still good.
  • Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
  • Don't take yourself so seriously, No one else does.
  • You don't have win every argument. Agree to disagreements.
  • Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, don't save for special occasions.Today is special.
  • No One is in charge of your happiness except you.
  • Forgive everyone for everything.
  • Time heals almost every thing. Give time time.
  • However good or bad a situation is, everything will change.
  • Your job won' t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in Touch
  • Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
  • The best is yet to come.
  • believe
  • No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
  • Do the right thing.
  • Call your family often.
  • Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: Today i accomplished...I am thankful for..."
  • Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
  • Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney world and you certainly don't want a fast pass. Make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

Sometimes as much as we don't want to complicate our lives, we find ourselves in the same rut all over again. Sometimes the simpliest things we can do are the hardest thing to do. Don't you agree?

The Plan

Its a rainy Sunday again. This means that me and my co-teachers might be wishing that there will be no school tomorrow. (ha!, im sure DEP ED which stands for Department of Education will not make a stupid announcement this soon that there will be no classes tomorrow after all every time they do that, the next day becomes a sunny, cloudless, rainless day!!hahaha) Well, I have been thinking of the mantra -MAKE TIME I have been saying and thinking of that for as long I can remember...I have to make time to do this, do that, etc...ever since I have been surrounded with pro-active people and people who make me wanna be like them but realizing this I have to make time to at least figure out what I really like. as in really like. Count down na. In about a month, birthday ko na. Promise, thou shall take care of myself better. Malapit na. Tama na tong kalokohan ko.Tomorrow, I shall make a list of thing I can do realistically before this day comes.I shall make a plan.

THOUGHTS AND THINGS

I stumbled upon reading my co-teacher's wish list and I told myself I should have my own.Why not? Every once in a while I'd think of something I wished I could have and I said, I should start writing it out because as they say"thoughts become things"However, I was never the type of person inclined to material things so as you read on, you'll notice that things are not merely the ones written here but also ideas and thoughts that could contribute to a better life. This is in random order.

  • schedule of interview and medical check-up by the US embassy.
  • finding Mr. Gatdula Manalo
  • IPOD (any model except shuffle)
  • a new mobile phone with camera, FM radio and that can play saved mp3 files
  • a new digicam or better yet a dslr
  • a desk sharpener
  • funds for a house make over
  • 5,000 pesos for a divisoria shopping spree.
  • 6 new pillows (that does not get deformed easily)
  • a basket bike
  • funds to pay debts and bills.
  • efficient househelp
  • boracay getaway trip
  • bangkok trip
  • davao trip
  • a bike
  • a new sedan
  • Ruffles potato chips
  • ASAP tickets or passes
  • better yet tickets and moolah to go AROUND the WORLD
  • a house of our own
  • 3 days of ME time (to which I know I will never survive)
  • new pair of Havainas
  • starbucks gift certificates
  • a date with JOHN LOYD (i'm sure hubby wouldn't mind :) )
  • 1 pack of reeses/kisses/Mauna Loa/any pure milk brand of chocolate)
  • gift certificates to any mall
  • "A Walk this Way" tour given as a gift. (lovely)
It isn't much but maybe these THOUGHTS would become THINGS...so if I'll be able to receive these things on my BIRTHDAY (which is soon , my count down will start tomorrow) ANY OF THESE will put the BIGGEST smile on my face (kahit yung date lang kay John Loyd) and I hope somebody I know will stumble on my blog and read it. Therefore, i will be hopeful and positive. Goodluck to me.

Promise, this one will really do.

let me reiterate ONE MORE TIME...
This one will do...HAPPINESS

I can already here my friends screaming at me "ANG BAKYA KO" birthday ko naman eh!so what!
