FRISBEE

I surprised myself today. I played a sport. Unlike most people, I have never been a part of "team" in a sport. I would only enjoy watching and cheering for my friends who played. I was not so"interested" to learn. I'd rather be a part of a play, a choir or maybe a dancer. In other words, I am more inclined in the artistic world or maybe showbiz(heheehe). But today, I made a difference in my life. I did play under the rain(ang sarap actually, I felt like a kid again playing under the rain) and made an effort to learn a sport. Even if I had a hard time learning the way you should hold the disc, the stance, the rules of the game. I even ran when the disc was passed on to me thinking I should bring it to the goal which made all the players laughed. Well, looking back I did play another sport. I joined the bandwagon before and played Badminton but after buying a racket and got my eye injured. I stopped and never played again.
Actually, Jeff (my partner) played a big part in encouraging...I felt flaterred because I have been complaining for the longest time that we are not doing anything together and now he is making an effort. he suggested that we do this. In fact, we even brought our little girl with us which made the idea even better. I felt good and as they say exercise in any form can release stress. I did enjoy myself and actually looking forward till the next time we play FRISBEE ( akala ko hanggang ultimate brisk walking lang ako...hahaha)

Highschool Night

In the middle of the week, My crazy friend Marie a.k.a Mario called me up to say that she was taking me out on a date. Of course, that was just a lame excuse to get her motherly friend to get all excited. It turns out after a dozen exchange of cruel words that we were going to a birthday party of a long lost classmate and a get together of other more batchmates (hehehe my first batch that is) Here are some pictures taken that night.I must say that partying with old classmates and reminiscing highschool escapades really made that night worth it even if I would only get a 4 hours of sleep.
Marie decided to come in a costume and be a girl that night. Nagpamake-up pa.
These were pictures taken in Marie's house with yet another long lost classmate Sharon Rosenfeld or otherwise known as Nika Valencia.
Me, Mela and Ileana
The rest of the gang.
My Crazy friend-Mario!

Well, for whatever it was worth, get togethers are usually fun and crazy and I am glad I came.

When I saw this, I felt like kneeling down where ever I was and weep for joy!
I never stopped thanking God that day.

And your real dad said "I love you and so proud of you"

What I Did Today

I took a vacation leave today. Taking a leave from my work is like a solar eclipse that only happens once in a while. As in as rare as a human visits the moon.Ganun, kahirap ang proseso but today I had to take one because my daughter had her "Field Demo". A " Field Demo" is an activity you do in elementary and highschool where in you dance with props and colorful costumes which will be a part of your PE practical test. Unfortunately, I was late. In other words, I was not able to watch her but her teacher-in-charge promised me that she will give me a copy of the video.Oh well, just got to look at the brighter side. I saw an old teacher, Mrs. De Guzman. She was my Filipino teacher when I was in Gr. 4 and now my daughter's Social Studies teacher. I also saw a college friend and a batchmate (my original batch,if you know what I mean. I was also able to spend a few hours with my good friend, Mia. Who kept me company while waiting for my daughter to be dismissed. No regrets, all is well and done. I was just glad I was able to take the day off and it was worth it.I read in a passage written by Ralph Marston. It says,
"Today is real and today is now available for you. Bring it to life in your own special way."

what are you waiting for?

Here are some pictures I took after they performed. At least I was able to get some...:)

The field demonstrator.
Bianca and her best friend, Rocio since preschool. Cuties!

All messed up and sweaty but still a cutie to her mother's eyes.lining up to go back to their classroom.

A face only a mother could love.

I'd also like to thank Teacher Pao for making these pictures possible.

The Teacher
