What a pleasant surprise to find out that my best friend was in the country to visit! kakatuwa! "SHE" and I have shared a lot of good memories together. She and her family have taught me so much which she was probably was unaware of. She has influenced me to read all sorts...play gameboards (cluedo, monopoly,scrabble,sorry...etc) play pretend (lutu-lutuan, library-library..etc.) answer window math, practice spelling. She also taught me to play "Somewhere in Time", "Blue Moon" and "Wigwam" on the piano without any notes. We sang together. she also taught me to wrap gifts and make gift wrappers into paper bags. Her mom taught me to pee in "Intercon" when out in Quad =) and taught me shop on our own at age 9. Oh, we shared so much! She wouldn't want me to go home and actually bully me to stay. However, we had to go on our separate ways. Even if we shared so much and practically lived together while we were growing up. We had our own personalities. In short, we parted ways. Actually, we were really opposites. I don't want to go into the details but lets just put it this way--I would always make things complicated by choice.
But I bet she doesn't know , how much she and her family has influenced me in becoming a better person. They have taught me to always value what you have even if you have more than enough. They also have taught me always to believe in yourself and in your dreams with diligence and hardwork, nothing is impossible. They have also taught me to believe in the power of prayers--just pray.
One proof that God has continuously looked after me even in the absence of my family. He surrounded me with people who touched and inspired me to become a better person and made a difference in my life.
And no matter how far we have been away from each other, deep in our hearts we know what we will always mean to each other.
